Milky Way and Aurora Australis in Lake Tekapo

Many people said Lake Tekapo is one of the best site for doing astrophotography and nightscape photography. This is true! I experienced that for 2 nights in Lake Tekapo. The first night was terrible because of all the tourists shining their bright flash light here and there and spoil some frames in my timelapse.

But the second night I purposely moved to another spot to avoid those shining flash light and car lights. I setup my camera and do a test shot, alohaaaaaaaa Aurora Australis! Never expected it is so bright at the southern horizon. I believe the aurora is predicted that night to be: Kp 4.0 . WOW! Finally I managed to capture a short timelapse of it. Let see one of the frame that I processed this morning on work.
